Value Picks is a football tipster service provided by John Baker as part of his Banker Bets website. This particular service offers a wider range of selections than the Banker Bets service at higher odds that are perceived to be ‘value’.
We reviewed Value Picks between 24th January and 24th April 2018 and it produced the following results:

Value Picks is a relatively new service, launching in July 2017 following the success of the Banker Bets service. It hasn’t as yet hit the same heights with it struggling to gain traction during our review. It wasn’t a complete wash out finishing just over 8pts down but obviously a minus figure is not what we would like to see. Things started well enough and approaching the end of the first month we were slight in profit. There then followed a poor 5-6 weeks with to be fair some bad luck along the way. Things picked up again in the final weeks as you can see from the graph above.
A range of bet types are offered, the breakdown of which are shown in the table below. Selections are made from leagues all across Europe, the majority being from the main leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France).

Picks are sent by email usually between 9pm and midnight the night before games. There are no write-ups on this service but you do get fairly regular recaps and the running P/L total is always provided on each email.
The advised betting bank is 40pts which seems sufficient given the history of the service so far. We hit -16 at one point in our review before recovering back to the end figure of -8.
Prices given are both best odds and average odds, results recorded by the service are to average odds which you can usually beat meaning there are no problems at all in terms of ‘getting on’ at the correct price.
The cost of Value Picks is £27 per month on the standard plan, you can try it for the first month for £6.75. There are as usual longer term subscription offers which save you on the monthly cost. There is also a choice of a dual subscription to both this and the Banker Bets service which allows you to make further savings.
The results on the website show that since launch the service is -1.65pts however, as I mentioned before, that is to average odds, you can generally beat them in most cases.
SUMMARY
As with Banker Bets, Value Picks is a professionally run service with full transparency with regards to results. Selections are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Unfortunately it hasn’t as yet delivered the profits one would want from a £27 per month service. It is far from a disaster though and it wouldn’t take much to push it into a recommended service. It’s one to keep a close eye on moving forwards.
