Three selections for today.
5.35 Leicester – BAD COMPANY 1pt Win BFSP
It is hard to look past Bad Company here who escapes a penalty following his win in an apprentice race last time out. This is a grade higher but in my opinion it is not much better than the class 6 contest he won. Handles soft conditions well and won with plenty in hand last time this is heavier but if handling ok then looks set to complete the hatrick -currently 11/4
8.00 Wolverhampton – FREEDOM AND WHEAT 1pt Win BFSP
Seems to be ahead of the handicapper and the way he won last time out I dont think the extra 6lb will be enough to stop him and another that looks set to complete a hatrick of wins- currently 3/1
8.30 Wolverhampton – RIGHT ACTION 1pt Win BFSP
Richard Faheys Right Action caught the eye in a stronger race at Ayr last time making all until headed a furlong out. He finished 4th in that race but showed clear signs that he could be ready to strike and is now of interest back at Wolverhampton where his form figures read 112. Off a mark of 77 he looks ready to strike Currently 9/2
Looking back at yesterdays selection So I Told You I was disappointed in the ride given by Pat Dobbs. The horse has been keen in his races before but when he won last season they made the running as they had also done in his race prior to his run yesterday. He was keen again but was not getting the run of the race as the jockey was pulling him back and found he was being squeezed and knocked about. He then headed over to the rail where he got blocked in and was getting no sort of run and was never going to win from thereon. The pace was not that fast and I would have much preferred Pat Dobbs to have allowed him to have gone on he may still not have won but the horse would have had a better chance bearing in mind how keen he was.
