What is a Betting Bank?

What is a betting bank?

A betting bank is quite simply the amount of money you have set aside for gambling purposes. This should be the amount of money you can afford to lose. Obviously the objective is not to lose but you should never bet with funds you require elsewhere.

The majority of tipsters will have a recommended betting bank size. You will find these mentioned in our reviews.

If a service is suggesting a betting bank of 100pts and your betting bank is £1000 then the amount per pt you would be betting is £10.

i.e. £1000/10.

If you had a bank of £500 then you would start of at £5 per point.

I would always advise that you stick to the staking plan advised by a tipster. It is part of the service that you are paying for and will help to control your bank size and ensure you don’t blow it all in a short space of time chasing losses!
